Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to help deaf people leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life. Not only are these amazing dogs trained to alert deaf children and adults to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm or doorbell, they also provide love and companionship. Many deaf people struggle with feelings of loneliness and isolation. This combination of practical and emotional support is life-changing.
Humane Slaughter Association (HSA)
Whilst many people recognise the importance of animal welfare whilst on the farm, animals may also face welfare challenges ‘beyond the farm gate’. At the HSA, we play a vital role in promoting the welfare of animals in markets, during transport and at slaughter, by providing funding and support for essential research.
International Animal Rescue
At International Animal Rescue we do exactly what our name says - we save animals from suffering around the world and protect their precious habitats. Our work includes rescuing and rehabilitating orangutans that have been kept as pets or left stranded after their forest home has been destroyed. Our teams in Indonesia also rescue slow lorises and macaque monkeys from the illegal pet trade.
International Fund for Animal Welfare
When we rescue one animal – a house pet abandoned in a hurricane, a milk cow displaced by an earthquake, a right whale entangled in fishing line – we’re doing much more than saving a life. We’re reuniting a family. We’re restoring a community’s livelihood. We’re saving a species on the brink of extinction. And we’re saving our planet.

Langford Trust for Animal Health and Welfare, The
The Trust supports the Veterinary School at the University of Bristol. Our main objective is to relieve suffering and to further animal welfare. The Langford Trust depends upon the generosity of all those interested in the welfare of animals and education to enable us to help this centre of veterinary excellence. By supporting this vet school we aim to improve the diagnosis and treatment for all animals, not only in this country but all over the world.
Lluest Horse and Pony Trust
Lluest itself is the legacy of the remarkable late Ginny Hadjuckiewicz, who established the charity in 1985. Sadly, Ginny lost her own life aged 38, leaving behind Lluest as her Legacy. Since then, we have worked tirelessly to continue the hard work of Ginny, to rescue, rehabilitate and find approved long term Guardian loan homes for 100’s of horses, ponies and donkeys who have been the victims of cruelty, neglect, abandonment, and poor circumstances.
Lord Whisky Sanctuary Fund, The
The Lord Whisky Sanctuary Fund (Registered Charity No: 283483) was established in 1981 to support the work of The Park House Animal Sanctuary. It was named after a little Jack Russell called Whisky who came to the sanctuary at the age of 4 years, having had six previous homes. He lived with founder, Margaret Todd and her family until he had to be put down at the age of 22 years.
